What Is a Lamine Yamal Card Worth?
Lamine Yamal cards come from two licensors and four separate catalogues, so the same year can mean very different cards. Work out which one you hold, where it sits on its set's parallel ladder, and check it against live eBay sold comps.

“What’s it worth?” is the first question every Lamine Yamal collector asks — and with Yamal there’s a complication most player-value pages skip. His cards aren’t one catalogue with one ladder. They’re several catalogues from two licensors, priced separately by the market, and until you know which one you’re holding, no value answer means anything.
Rather than quote prices that would be wrong by next week, this page does it in the right order: identify the catalogue, place the card on that set’s parallel ladder, then check it against live eBay sold comps. The prices you’ll see on those searches are real, current listings and completed sales.
First: which Yamal catalogue are you holding?
This is the step that separates a real value estimate from a guess, and it’s specific to soccer. Nobody holds an exclusive on the player — a card is issued under the licence for the competition or club it depicts. So Topps and Panini both print Lamine Yamal, in the same season, with no conflict:
| Catalogue | Licensor | What sets the price inside it |
|---|---|---|
| Topps Chrome UEFA Club Competitions | Topps (UEFA clubs) | The refractor rainbow on the #64 rookie — roughly thirty patterns, topped by a Superfractor 1/1, with the #CA-LY autograph (Gold /50, Blue /150, Superfractor 1/1). His premier chrome-rookie chase. |
| Topps Merlin #27 · Finest #50 · Stadium Club Chrome #27 · Sapphire #WK3 | Topps (UEFA clubs) | The 2023-24 UCC siblings. Same licence and season as Chrome, separate products with separate checklists — and separately priced. |
| Panini LaLiga: Megacracks, Select, Pitch Kings | Panini (LaLiga) | Megacracks #108 bis and #423 “Master Rookie” are his earliest Panini cards (the #71-shirt issues). Select La Liga adds the chromium ladder — base → Silver Prizm parallel → named patterns → 1/1 — and Signatures #S-LMY. Pitch Kings is new for 2025-26. |
| Panini FIFA: Prizm FIFA, Select FIFA, Donruss RTWC 2026, Instant, Obsidian | Panini (FIFA) | The national-team and World Cup lane, including 2026 Panini Prizm (Monopoly) FIFA World Cup #41. Panini Instant is print-to-order — the run is set by how many sold inside a short window. |
| Topps FC Barcelona 125 Years Anniversary | Topps (club) | Club-branded issues: base #16 at the accessible end, with the 125 Legacy Autographs, MF-LY and LRLY relic autos as the chase. |
| Topps Now · 2024 Topps UEFA Euro · Futera | Topps / Futera | Event-pinned and premium. Topps Now is print-to-order, so scarcity is decided after the fact. The Euro 2024 cards — including the Spain sticker #ESP19 — are Topps, not Panini. Futera is the small-batch premium lane; his one verified certified Futera auto is FCBTRA03. |
Two listings that both read “Lamine Yamal 2023” can be entirely unrelated cards from this table. Read the set name on the back before you compare two prices — it’s the single most valuable habit in Yamal buying.
One trap worth naming explicitly: there is no “Panini Prizm La Liga” set. If a listing uses that name, it is describing something else — usually a Select La Liga card, whose parallels are called Prizms. Panini’s Prizm-branded set containing Yamal is Prizm FIFA. The full year-by-year map is in all Lamine Yamal cards.
The four things that set the price
- Catalogue and product line. Premium chrome lines carry more than mass-market base issues. His Topps Chrome UCC #64 and Panini Select La Liga cards sit above his paper and sticker issues.
- Parallel & print run. A colored, serial-numbered parallel is scarcer than the base card it’s built on, and scarcity drives price. Here’s the useful part: the serial stamp is the print run. A fraction like
25/99means copy 25 of 99 made — there’s no database to look up, and you can rank two numbered parallels against each other on the spot. No stamp means unnumbered, which is normal for base chrome, for Silver Prizms, and for many refractors and patterns. - Autograph. A certified autograph sits well above the non-auto version of the same card, and both Topps and Panini sign him — Topps Chrome UCC #CA-LY, Finest UCC 1st Class, 2024 Topps Chrome UEFA Euro #CA-LY, FC Barcelona MF-LY and LRLY on one side; Panini Select La Liga Signatures #S-LMY, 2024-25 Select FIFA and the Donruss Beautiful Game Autographs #1 on the other. There is no exclusive deal in either direction. See the autographs & top cards list.
- Grade. A PSA 10 (or SGC/BGS equivalent) commands a premium over a raw or lower-graded copy. At the top end, the grade is most of the value.
The three mix-ups that cost Yamal buyers the most money
The first two are pattern-versus-photograph problems, and both mean paying a higher tier’s price for a lower tier’s card. Neither can be settled by a straight-on listing photo. The third is a set-identity problem.
- Base chrome vs refractor (Topps). They share the same design. Tilt the card under a light — a refractor throws a rainbow burst that sweeps across the surface as the angle changes; base chrome stays bright and mirror-flat. Topps chrome programmes commonly print the parallel’s name on the back, so a photo of the back often turns the guess into a fact.
- Base vs Silver Prizm parallel (Panini). Harder, because Select and Prizm FIFA are chromium stock throughout: base and Silver share the same photo, the same design and the same reflective stock. What separates them is the pattern — a base reads as a flat, even sheen, a Silver throws a broken prismatic burst. And Panini generally doesn’t name its patterns on the card, so neither the back nor a serial stamp will rescue you.
- The wrong set entirely. Five different 2023-24 Topps UCC products carry a Yamal rookie (Chrome #64, Merlin #27, Finest #50, Stadium Club Chrome #27, Sapphire #WK3), and a sixth name — “Panini Prizm La Liga” — is a set that doesn’t exist at all. Read the set name on the back. It settles all of this in one step.
The practical rule: ask for an angled shot under a light before you pay a parallel price. An honest seller will take one; a refusal is itself an answer. On a graded card none of this applies — the label names the parallel and the cert number is checkable on the grader’s own site.
Does the rookie premium apply?
Partly, and not the way it does in North American sports. Soccer cards carry no stamped RC logo, so no single card is officially designated Yamal’s rookie. What the market actually prices is the year printed on the back, and his first Barcelona season is 2023-24 — he debuted in April 2023 wearing the number 71 shirt. Because both licensors put him into product that season, there are several legitimate first-year cards rather than one, which is why more than one seller can honestly call their card a Yamal rookie. The market’s headline pick is Topps Chrome UCC #64; the full list is in Lamine Yamal rookie cards.
How to look up what a Yamal card is actually worth
Forget the guide prices and the “book value” myth — cards are worth exactly what the last few sold for. Here’s the method every seasoned collector uses:
- Identify the card precisely. Read the back for the licensor, set, year, and card number, and the front for the finish and any serial number. Note that the card number is only the card’s slot in the checklist — it says nothing about scarcity, and the same number in a different set is an unrelated card.
- Search the exact match on eBay, then filter to Sold items (not active listings). Active prices are what sellers hope to get; sold prices are what buyers actually paid. Only the second number is real.
- Match the catalogue, the parallel and the grade — not just the player and year. A Chrome UCC #64 refractor and a Megacracks #108 bis are different markets, and so are Chrome #64 and Merlin #27 despite sharing a licence and a season. Mixing them turns the comps to noise.
- Throw out the outliers. Ignore the single sky-high sale (often a shill or a mis-listed variation) and the suspiciously cheap one (damaged, wrong card, or a bidding fluke). The cluster in the middle is the market.
- Weight the most recent sales. An active player’s market moves with results and news. A comp from three months ago is a data point; last week’s is the truth — and with a 2007-born player still early in his career, the news that moves it is his own. The Lamine Yamal player hub keeps the career timeline that explains why a comp cluster shifted.
The eBay searches below are pre-built for exactly this — each opens live listings you can flip to “Sold” in one tap. Once you know what a card should cost, the marketplace you buy it in decides what you actually pay — where to buy Lamine Yamal cards splits the options and what each is good for.
See real prices by tier
Each search below opens live eBay listings for one rung of the ladder — rookie-year 2023 cards, Chrome UCC refractors, Panini Select La Liga, Megacracks, numbered parallels, Topps Now, autographs, and graded slabs. Sort by “Sold” on eBay to see what copies have actually changed hands for, which is the truest read on value.
The value ladder, base to 1/1
Within any one of the four catalogues, cards climb in a predictable order. From the bottom up:
- Raw base cards — his mass-market flagship, sticker, and retail base. The floor of the market; fine to collect raw.
- Base parallels & inserts — unnumbered coloured versions, refractors, Silver Prizm parallels, and insert sets. A step up on scarcity and eye-appeal, with no fixed print run to point at — so their price is set purely by the sold record rather than by arithmetic.
- Numbered parallels — the moment a card carries a serial (
/199,/99,/25), it separates from the pack. Lower number, higher climb. - Certified autographs — a signature changes the card’s category entirely, and his rookie-era autos (#CA-LY, #S-LMY, the Finest 1st Class autos) are watched closely.
- Low-numbered autos & 1/1s — a serial-numbered autograph such as the #CA-LY Gold /50, or a true one-of-one (the #CA-LY Superfractor, the Finest UCC 1st Class Superfractor, a printing plate), is the top of the ladder.
Layer grade on top of all of it: within any tier, a gem-mint slab commands a premium over a raw or lower-graded copy of the same card.
Grade is most of the value at the top
For a base card, grading rarely pays — the fee eats the premium. But once you move up the ladder, the difference between a PSA 9 and a PSA 10 can be the difference between two very different sale prices. Chrome and prizm stock is unforgiving here: centering, edge chipping, print lines and surface scratches all read harshly through a reflective finish, so a card that photographs perfectly can come back a 9. Before you send anything in, run the numbers:
- The free Grading ROI Calculator tells you whether the expected gem-mint premium is likely to cover the grading fee. On mid-tier parallels it frequently doesn’t.
- The Card Centering Tool checks the single most common reason a chrome or prizm card grades a 9 instead of a 10 — off-center borders.
Track what your cards are worth over time
Value isn’t a one-time lookup for an active player — it drifts with every match and transfer window. The free Collection Value Tracker lets you log each Yamal card you own and drop in its latest sold comp, so you always know where your collection stands without re-searching from scratch. It runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded or stored on a server.
The short version
There’s no single “what’s it worth” figure for a Lamine Yamal card. There are several catalogues, a ladder inside each, and a grade layered on top. Work it in that order: read the set name on the back to find the catalogue, use the tilt test and the serial stamp to place the card on its ladder, then find the exact match on eBay and filter to sold comps, weighting the most recent sales.
