Panini Lamine Yamal Cards: La Liga & FIFA Sets, Explained

Panini prints Lamine Yamal under two licences: LaLiga and FIFA. That is the whole Panini side of his catalogue, and knowing it saves you from the single most common Yamal buying mistake — chasing a set that doesn’t exist.

This page maps what Panini actually issues of him, names the cards that are verified, and points each one at live eBay listings.

First, the correction: there is no “Panini Prizm La Liga”

You will see the phrase all over search results, forums and listing titles. It is not a product. Panini has never issued a Prizm La Liga set — not in Yamal’s era, not before it. The only thing that ever carried the name was a Prizm La Liga insert set inside Panini Chronicles Soccer in 2020-21 and 2021-22, which is years before Yamal had a licensed card.

Two real things get blurred into the myth:

• Panini Select’s parallels are called “Prizms.” A 2024-25 Select La Liga Silver Prizm is a genuine card — but “Prizm” there is the parallel name, not the set name. Listings shorten it, and the shorthand hardens into a phantom product.
• Panini does run a Prizm-branded soccer set containing Yamal — but it is Prizm FIFA (2025-26), issued under the national-team licence, not the domestic league.

If a listing or an article tells you a card is from “Panini Prizm La Liga,” read the set name on the back before you pay. It will say something else.

Panini’s Lamine Yamal cards: the La Liga lane

Panini holds LaLiga, so every domestic-league Yamal card is Panini. Three lines matter:

Panini Megacracks LaLiga (EA Sports) — his earliest Panini cards

The 2023-24 Megacracks LaLiga EA Sports release carries #108 bis and #423, the “Master Rookie.” These are his earliest verified Panini La Liga cards, and they hold a detail nothing else does: they show him in the number 71 shirt he wore for his April 2023 first-team debut, before he took the 19 and then the 10. For a first-year Panini card of Yamal, this is the set.

Panini Select La Liga — the optic line, and the Signatures

Select La Liga ran in 2024-25 and 2025-26. It is Panini’s chromium La Liga product and the home of the parallel ladder people mean when they say “Prizms” — Silver and the coloured, numbered tiers above it. Select is also where Panini’s first La Liga Yamal autograph lives: Select La Liga Signatures #S-LMY.

Panini Pitch Kings LaLiga — new for 2025-26

Pitch Kings LaLiga is a new Panini La Liga line launched for the 2025-26 season. It is the newest place to find league-licensed Yamal cardboard, and being new, its population is still thin — worth watching rather than assuming.

Panini’s Lamine Yamal cards: the FIFA lane

Panini also holds FIFA, which is why his national-team and World Cup cards are Panini while his Euro cards are not (those are Topps — see below). The FIFA-side lines that carry him:

• Panini Prizm FIFA (2025-26) — the actual Prizm-branded set. This is where a Prizm-pattern Yamal card genuinely comes from.
• Panini Select FIFA (2024-25) — including a certified Yamal autograph.
• Panini Donruss Road to FIFA World Cup 2026 (2025-26) — the pre-tournament flagship, carrying “The Beautiful Game Autographs” #1, a certified Yamal signature.
• Panini Instant FIFA World Cup — print-to-order cards tied to specific tournament moments. The run is set by how many sold inside a short window, so scarcity is decided after the fact.
• Panini Obsidian Soccer (2025-26) — the premium, low-count end of the Panini catalogue.
• 2026 Panini Prizm (Monopoly) FIFA World Cup #41 — his Spain card from the World Cup product.

One forward-looking note that matters if you buy to hold: Panini keeps the FIFA World Cup rights through 2030, and from 2031 they move to Fanatics — Topps’ parent. Cards already printed are unaffected, but the Panini/Topps split described here is not permanent on the FIFA side.

Who prints what: the licence map

This is the part that confuses nearly every new Yamal buyer, and it’s why two listings dated the same year can be completely different cards. Nobody holds an exclusive on the player. A card is issued under the licence for the competition or club it depicts:

• Panini holds LaLiga — Megacracks, Select La Liga, Pitch Kings.
• Panini holds FIFA (through 2030) — Prizm FIFA, Select FIFA, Donruss Road to WC 2026, Instant, Obsidian, and the 2026 World Cup product.
• Topps (Fanatics) holds the UEFA club competitions — his Chrome UEFA Club Competitions cards and their siblings.
• Topps also holds the UEFA national-team competitions, including the Euros through Euro 2028 — so 2024 UEFA Euro Yamal cards are Topps, not Panini. If you have read otherwise on this site or elsewhere, that was wrong.
• Topps holds the FC Barcelona club programme — his club-branded cards.

Panini Lamine Yamal autographs

Panini and Topps both produce certified Lamine Yamal autographs. There is no exclusive card-autograph deal in either direction — and you should treat any claim that there is as a red flag about the rest of that source.

Autographs are where fakes concentrate, so buy these graded or authenticated (PSA, SGC, or BGS), never raw from an unknown seller. Every slab carries a certification number you can look up on the grader’s own site — match the cert’s photo and description to the listing before you pay. Separate and often conflated: it was reported in October 2025 that Yamal signed an exclusive signed-memorabilia deal covering shirts and boots. That is a memorabilia arrangement, not a trading-card one, and it has nothing to do with which companies print his certified card autographs.

The Panini parallel ladder, base to 1/1

Panini’s chromium lines are built as a rainbow. From most common to scarcest, it generally runs:

• Base. The design on the set’s standard stock. Plentiful, affordable, and fine for a player collector who just wants the card.
• Silver Prizm. In Select and Prizm-branded products, the unnumbered patterned parallel — the copy most often graded, and a well-centered one is a legitimate PSA 10 candidate. Note the wording: this is a parallel inside Select or Prizm FIFA, not a set of its own.
• Named patterns and coloured parallels. The scarcity tiers above Silver, some unnumbered, some serial-numbered. The lower the serial number, the higher the ceiling. Always read recent solds before you chase one; a small print run only matters when demand meets it.
• Gold and the 1/1 at the top. The scarcest numbered colours and, at the very top, the unique 1/1 parallels and printing plates.

Which patterns exist varies release to release, so confirm against live listings rather than assuming a pattern you’ve seen in one Panini product appears in another.

Base vs Silver: the mix-up that costs Panini buyers money

Inside Select and Prizm FIFA, base and Silver share the same photo, the same design, and the same reflective stock. What separates them is the pattern, not the stock.

Hold the card at an angle and turn it:

• A base card reads as a flat, even sheen. The shine moves with the light, but it stays uniform.
• A Silver throws a prismatic burst — a broken, sparkling pattern that travels across the whole surface as the angle changes.

Two things follow, and both matter before you pay. Neither card carries a serial stamp, so the stamp can’t settle the question for you the way it can on a numbered parallel. And a single straight-on listing photo usually can’t settle it either — flash on a flat scan can make a base look busy, and a dark scan can flatten a Silver. Ask the seller for an angled shot before you pay a Silver price.

Panini patterns vs Topps refractors

Same idea, different execution — and knowing which convention you’re under saves real money when you cross between the two families.

Topps runs a refractor ladder named by colour, and its chrome programmes commonly print the parallel’s name on the card back. You can often confirm what you’re holding by reading it.

Panini names patterns rather than colours, and generally does not name the pattern anywhere on the card. You identify a Panini parallel by recognising the pattern itself — plus the serial stamp, when there is one.

The practical consequence: on Panini, the seller’s description and an angled photo are doing the work the card back does on a Topps chrome card. Treat a vague Panini parallel listing with no angled shot as an unanswered question, not a bargain.

How to read a Panini Lamine Yamal card

Everything you need to identify the card is on the card. Check three things before you bid:

1. The set name and year, on the back. The only reliable way to confirm which programme a card came from — and the check that would stop most “Prizm La Liga” purchases before they happen.
2. The card number. It’s the card’s slot in the checklist — nothing more. It says nothing about scarcity, and the same number in a different set is an unrelated card. Megacracks #108 bis and #423 are checklist slots, not rarity signals.
3. The serial stamp, if there is one. A fraction such as 25/99 means copy 25 of 99 printed. The stamp is the print run — there’s nothing to look up. No stamp means unnumbered, which is normal for base cards, for Silvers, and for many patterns.

A grading note

Panini’s chromium lines reward and punish the same way chrome does. A crisp, well-centered Silver or coloured parallel can carry a real grade premium — but reflective stock shows surface scratches, edge chipping, and off-centering more harshly than paper.
