Who writes here
Straight answer, because a hobby site should give you one: Marc Ferrer is a pen name — the byline for this site's editorial desk rather than one person's government name. What the byline stands behind is real: every price you see is a live marketplace number, set facts are sourced rather than guessed, and availability comes from the marketplaces' own data.
Where the perspective comes from
The desk has been collecting for the better part of two decades — buying, sorting, grading, and selling real cardboard rather than reprinting press releases. That's the lens for everything on yamal.cards: what a card actually is, how the parallels and print runs stack up, when a raw card is worth the grading fee, and where the real market prices live. If a product is only good for the fun of ripping and not for value, I'll say so.
How I approach the soccer-card side
Soccer is a licensing patchwork — Topps and Panini hold different rights, so a single player's rookie-era cards are scattered across set families instead of one tidy release. A lot of the writing here is simply mapping that mess: which set is which, what the chase parallels and autographs are, and how to tell a real rookie from a first-appearance that isn't. I won't quote a fixed price that'll be wrong next week or fabricate a checklist I can't verify — the pages link to live listings and sold comps so you're looking at the real thing.
